I am very interested in purchasing and installing Celemony's Melodyne 4 on my MAC Pro (Intel Dual 2.66ghz processors, 12-Core, 32gig ram) running OSX 10.7.5 and Logic Pro 9.1.8. I cant seem to get a straight answer from anyone, Celemony included, wether their Melodyne 4 Editor version, will install and operate properly on my system, running logic. Everyone is telling me to download and install (try installing and using) the trial version of Melodyne 4 from Celemony's website. I DO NOT want to download and install the trial version of Melodyne 4 and have it corrupt/damage/destroy my OSX 10.7.5 or Logic 9.1.8 or any of my dozens of installed plug-ins. My current setup runs flawlessly, i.e. that is why I have no intention of going to any operating system above OSX 10..7.5 or moving to Logic Pro X (losing my 32bit plug-in usage capability as Logic Pro X does not have a 32bit to 64bit bridge like Logic 9). As they say, 'If it aint broke don't fix it'.
PS: I currently have the following pitch correction/shift plug-ins installed and running on my system:
Logic Pro 9 Pitch Correction, Antares Auto Tune 8.0 and 8.1, iZotope Nectar 2 pitch correction, and Waves Tune (part of my Waves Mercury Bundle), but I was very impressed when watching videos (info) on Celemony's Melodyne 4. Hey, one can never have too many good plug-ins, right? PLEASE HELP!

Celemony’s at home on the island! The new Melodyne 4.2.4 is compatible with macOS Catalina – updates available free of charge or at a special price

Celemony GmbH/ Munich, Oct 8th, 2019 (ictw) – Celemony is pleased to announce that version 4.2.4 of Melodyne, which is fully compatible with the new macOS Catalina (10.15), is now available.

Catalina brings far-reaching technical changes that also affect DAWs, plug-ins and hardware drivers. It is therefore necessary for many companies to adapt their software to Catalina so that the installation and use of the applications or plug-ins in question can be guaranteed. In its new version 4.2.4, all four editions of Melodyne 4 – essential, assistant, editor and studio – have been suitably adapted and are consequently compatible with Catalina. Melodyne 4 users can download the update free of charge from their user accounts.

Catalina and older versions of Melodyne

Melodyne studio 3 as well as versions 1 and 2 of Melodyne editor, assistant and essential are not compatible with the changes introduced by macOS Catalina and can’t be used with the new operating system. For this reason, Celemony is offering those with older versions an update to Melodyne 4 on special terms: Updates for Melodyne assistant and essential are available free of charge in the user account and updates for Melodyne studio 3 and editor 1 or 2 for only 49 €/US$ in the Celemony web shop.

Melodyne Bridge For Mac High Sierra

Celemony is the pioneer and market leader in the musical, note-based editing of audio. The company’s principal product, Melodyne, inaugurated this type of audio editing in 2001, established itself in the intervening years – for vocal editing in particular – as the standard worldwide, and has gone on pushing out the envelope in innovative audio editing ever since to the limits of what is technically possible. In 2008, for example, Celemony presented its patented DNA Direct Note Access, which extended Melodyne’s editing capabilities to polyphonic audio material – right down to individual notes within chords. Other important technologies developed by Celemony include the musically intelligent restoration tool Capstan, the pioneering plug-in interface ARA, the unique Sound Editor introduced by Melodyne 4 and – another Melodyne 4 revelation – Multitrack Note Editing, which facilitates the simultaneous, note-based editing of an unlimited number of audio tracks. Melodyne and Celemony have won numerous awards – among them, in 2012, the Technical Grammy.
